Choose organic Extra Virgin olive oil with international awards for quality. According to tradition, the monks in the Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos have always been involved in olive oil production, which is important in their daily lives, both for worship and sustenance. The monastery has a modern, certified olive oil press, a successor to the old stone press, with its traditional mill, millstones, and filter mats. The ancient olive grove of the Vatopedi Monastery consists of 4,000 trees, some of which are up to 800 years old.

Organic olives from the ancient olive groves of the Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos, hand-picked by the monks, cleaned, and processed using time-honored methods and practices. They are preserved in brine in glass jars to maintain their freshness and flavor for your table.
Honey
According to tradition, the monks in the Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos have been raising bees since ancient times, as honey is a staple food, especially during fasts, and an accompaniment to herbal infusions served to the countless pilgrims in the monastery guesthouse. The bee populations are native to the region and produce natural, award-winning organic honey. They feed on the rich variety of pristine flowering plants of Athos, which are abundant almost all year round due to the favorable climatic conditions. The bees are moved very little and only for short distances, so they are not exhausted or stressed by new environments. Queen bees are raised in the monastery with special care amidst the comfort and tranquility of nature. In winter, the bees are rewarded with large quantities of their own honey to keep them strong until the following spring.
